Easy and Healthy Breakfast Ideas

I am not a huge fan of breakfast food so I like to have something quick and easy in the morning. There are some mornings where I fast but if I am working out as soon as I wake up, I will usually have something small, like one of these healthy breakfast ideas.

I do not typically like to work out on an empty stomach because I feel like I do not perform as well and honestly I just get hungry during my workout.

These ideas are not full-on meals but will keep you full for a few hours. A lot of people do not like to have a huge breakfast so these are great for something light or before working out.

Chocolate Chip Protein Balls

These protein balls are perfect for a quick breakfast but also a good pre/post-workout snack. Sometimes I skip out on the protein and just use peanut butter when I’m getting enough protein. But my favorite thing is that when I do add protein you can’t taste it at all. I hate protein bars that are chalky and gross. Plus, these don’t contain all of the chemicals processed bars have.

All you need for this recipe is:

  • 1 Cup of Oats
  • One Scoop of Vanilla Powder
  • 1 Tbsp of chia or flaxseed (you can use both)
  • 1/4 Cup of Chocolate Chips
  • 2 Tbsp of Honey
  • 1/2 Cup of Peanut Butter
  • 1 Tsp of Vanilla
  • Few Drops of Water if Needed

Protein Smoothie

Protein smoothies are always delicious and all you have to do is put some things in a blender. If you do not want to use protein powder another option is adding peanut butter or spirulina.

When I make spirulina smoothies I like to also add peanut butter just to help with the taste.

I always add some fruit and lots of spinach since it’s an easy way to get in extra fruits and greens.

Avocado Deviled Eggs

Hard-boiled eggs are my favorite pre-workout snack. I have these in the morning about 3 times a week because they keep me full and they contain a lot of healthy fats.

This kind of speaks for itself but all you need is hard-boiled eggs and avocado. I like to sprinkle some seasonings into the mixture to give it more flavor.

Seasonings I use:

  • Cayenne Powder
  • Garlic Powder
  • Pink Himalayan Salt

Overnight Peanut Butter Oats

Overnight oats have become very popular within the last few years. I made them for the first time last week and I am obsessed. It’s weird because I am not a huge fan of oatmeal? I know doesn’t make much sense.

Overnight oats especially when you add peanut butter or any nut butter will leave you very satisfied and keeps you full for your busy morning. Here are 9 different recipes for overnight oats.

What I like to Add:

  • Oats
  • Cacao Powder
  • Chia Seeds
  • Maca Powder
  • Vanilla
  • Pink Himalayan Salt
  • Peanut Butter
  • Honey
  • Almond Milk

Toppings (optional)

  • Granola
  • Chocolate Chips
  • Fruit
  • Nuts
