What are antioxidants?

Antioxidants our molecules that prevents the oxidation of other molecules. Oxidation makes free radicals, which can cause chain reactions that could lead to cell damage. Experts believe that free radicals play a factor in atherosclerosis (blood vessel disease), cancer, and other diseases. Some vitamins found in antioxidants are Vitamin C and Vitamin E. It is very important to get antioxidants from vegetables rather than supplements, because they can be harmful in high doses. Eating the vegetables will make you feel better and it is completely natural.
